GB – AI Branding Ideas

Originally we had wanted to stick with the idea of using the name that the client came up with for the AI, Zaidi. We liked this as it was simple and sounded almost robotic. However, we didn’t have anything to back up why we had chosen this other than it was the easy option.

I then did research into AI branding, and looked at other competitors. Often the obvious choice was either a woman’s name, as they are usually secretaries. Or a robotic name. Usually the AI had their own unique branding, but some companies like Google chose to keep it all under one umbrella and have a name that relates to the brand.

We then all discussed and tried to take a step back. I suggested that in order to go with the water theme and the theme of dots. The symbol for the AI could be like a voice talking but made out of water drops.

Then Victoria came up with the idea of osmosis. This is where water is sweated out, and then taken in again. It relates to exercise, water, and could be designed in the shape of a voice. We then thought if we cut down the word ‘Osmosis’ it becomes ‘Osmo’, which actually was really nice and sounded quite robotic.

We decided to move forward with the name osmo.
